Would you look through your SOs phone if they gave you permission?

If your SO offered to let you look through their phone, would you take the opportunity? I've been with my SO for only two months so the trust isn't 100% there yet. It takes time for me to build because my ex cheated. I don't know if I should actually look and take the opportunity or if he's maybe testing me?
