Period and dieting?

So I started a diet on August 15th. I was done ovulating on the 11th or so. This diet wasn't anything too drastic, just cutting calories but still eating healthy. My period is due today. I haven't had any symptoms of it starting and normally I do. I know it's still early but would this new diet cause my period to be late? It seems a little early to make anything late as I started it 10 days ago. And it's not a drastic change. 
Any ideas?
