Legs/feet pain and swelling; when to worry?

Is there ever a time when I need to tell my doctor or take action because of feet and leg swelling/pain? Or is it just normal? I thought I wouldn't have this severe of pain this early, I'm only 24 weeks along. It's so so painful I can barely walk. My husband just puts his hand on my calf and it hurts. Is there anything I can do?

Are you hydrated? 80-120 oz a day. I know it sounds contradictory but the less fluids your body has, the more it holds on to every drop because it's in survival mode. When you're sufficiently hydrated water is flushed out of your body regularly. ALSO it sounds like you need some magnesium. 500 mg a day will definitely help leg pain and swelling. You just have to drink a lot of water with magnesium too.

That sounds worse than the normal swelling, is it equal in both sides? If one side is more than the other you could have a clot, if it's equal on both sides you could have pre-eclampsia. Please let your doctor know ASAP so they can do a work up and make sure everything is ok

Honestly that sounds a bit early at 24 weeks for that severe. I'd def call your doc it could be a blood pressure issue
