Lactating??

Question

I'm currently 38 weeks and only my left breast is leaking, my right breast doesn't have any leakage even with stimulation. Should I be worried or when I have the baby will that change??

Wait until 3 days after birth, you'll be lactating like a hose! 😂

Normal. I'm 19 weeks and got mastitis already. Haha. I leak from one side sometimes. My doctor said it's a good sign everything's working! I wouldn't worry about it being on just one side either. You'll be fine, i like to think the other side just has better self control. Haha.

You shouldn't be worried. Oxytocin which is what causes contractions are what causes your milk to come in.  You are leaking colostrum, which is the first milk that has lots of benefits. You should be fine. My actual milk came in on my way home from the hospital. You will be able to tell when it comes in. It feels like someone puts a ton of bricks on your chest/shoulders. It won't always be like though. Just the first few times is uncomfortable.
