Are you allowed to suck on suckers during labor?

I know you can't eat, but can you suck on suckers?

Cant eat?? Says who! Our hospital encourages food and drink and will provide tea, toast and sandwiches x

I've heard that before too, you can't eat. I was planning on eating before I went in to the hospital lol idc if I poop or anything but I get so mad if I don't have food in me!

The hospital I work at does not allow eating solid food during labor if you are being induced just incase there is a problem and have to have emergency c-section.

I asked if I could suck on a sucker and they told me no it wasn't allowed. Absolutely no drinks or food, nothing. I was so mad

You're an adult they can't make you not eat, if you want a snack and drink then have it you're the one pushing a watermelon out of you lol

Um you need to be able to eat....for your strength...labor is hard and strenuous...I would never deliver somewhere where they told me I can't eat....what if you had a 30+ hr labor?  I would definitely do your research...
