To breast feed or not to breastfeed?

Question

I totally plan on breastfeeding my child if possible, this is a really important thing for me. I was just wondering for people that. An breast feed but choose not too, why? I'm not judging, I'm just curious.

I tried like hell to breast feed my first but 
A) he wouldn't latch
B) I wasn't producing any milk
For two weeks I would hook myself up to a pump and crank that baby to 11, and literally not a drop would come out! The only way I could get any milk out was by manually expressing every few hours and I would get one, maybe two ounces of milk each time. It was miserable and I would cry just about every feeding. So, since we had to supplement with formula anyway and my breasts were in agony we decided to hell with this! This time I plan to give it another go but we'll see what happens!

I couldn't breast feed with my firstborn. He was preemie and he just wouldn't latch. I pumped for a year and also had to take medication to help with the milk supply. I was heart broken. I am hoping for a different story this time!

I have breastfed both of my children and I will breastfeed the one I am pregnant with now. I wasn't going to at first, because I was being treated for depression(didnt think i could take meds and bf) when I found out I was pregnant. But about halfway through my first pregnancy my mom got diagnosed with breast cancer. When that happened I started thinking what if I get it when I am her age. So my friend sent me a link to all of the benefits of bfing. On that link it said it would lower my chance of breast cancer. So I talked to my psychiatrist and he said there were options of antidepressants to take while bfing. So I decided right then and there that I would bf my baby. I am so glad that I did. There is nothing else like it in the world. It helps you bond with your baby on a whole different level. Now, the first 6-8wks are hard. I recommend finding support groups if you don't have good support for it. My husband has always been a huge encouragement but none of my family had bf so when I had issues I had to get help from ladies in the support groups.

I plan to and also pump because sometimes I might be at work and my boyfriends nipples are useless to the baby. It also depends if the breast milk is enough to satisfy your baby's nutrient needs. Also some babies may be allergic to breast milk.

I don't know if I could have breast fed or not since I did not attempt; however, I didn't attempt to because just the thought of it made me feel weird. I don't know why since it's a natural thing but that's my reasoning for not doing it.
