Yes. My dad was scared. My daughter is the first baby in our family since my baby sister died 14 years ago. He was scared he wouldn't be able to hold her without it being painful for him. The first thing he did when he saw my daughter was listen to her heart to make sure it sounded normal. He loves her so much and he's told me that she has healed apart of him that has been broken for a long time.

My mom's excited, but my dad has a hard time relating to pregnancy. Luckily my husband loves all the excitement of pregnancy and is super supportive!! My dad loves babies... Standoffish about pregnancy lol

I'm confused on why there isn't a fourth option for "effected my father but not my mother".

It has effected them, simply because my father has parkinsons and his medication makes him over think and stress over change. So he has been crazy. The closer I get to my date, the bigger over gotten..has actually made him better..sort of.

And then my mom is effected by excitement and stress from my father lol

Very much so. I'm single with an unplanned pregnancy. My parents are very traditional Catholics so it has been very rough for them to process.
