What do contractions feel like?

What do contractions feel like? 
I'm 33 weeks today and have never had any braxton hicks so I'm unsure of what to expect when the time comes. 
Any advice?

Braxton hicks u think ur in early labour.. I've had 3 children and with my 3rd I had them soo many times.. U walk around timing each one and they can b uncomfortable but not enough that your screaming and shouting! When ur in labour u'll just no.. Your contractions will get closer together and a lot more painful as the time passes.. U'll get to a point where u no u need to c the face of a midwife but hold out as long as u can coz u don't wanna go in and be sent home. My first labour started off about 18 hours before i gave birth but I was too busy shopping and playing pool.. Betime I went to bed I couldn't sleep as this uncomfortable pain kept waking me up.. I had a bath and they were every 12 minutes.. Over the night and morning they became more frequent and stronger.. All of a sudden it hit me like a brick and I just knew I had to get
To the hospital. The first examination I was ready to push just an hour after being there!! It's so amazing.. Yes it hurts a lot.. But if it didn't hurt u wouldn't b labouring. Xxx

I knew when I had period like back cramping that would not go away. So from like 5 p.m very lightly till like 9 which they got more frequent until like 1 a.m when they actually started hurting!!!!! The others were just alittle uncomfortable. But around 12/1 they actually hurt and made me had to stop walking and put a tear in my eye. Same back/period like cramping. But that's the only way I can describe it. You will just know.
