Tattoos?

If I get a small tattoo on my hand or wrist will it effect my baby? Just wondering 
Ill be 29 weeks Monday.

No reputable shop will tattoo someone who is pregnant. Your immune system is suppressed during pregnancy so you are more susceptible to infection. Also you are at risk for blood transferred viruses such as hepatitis. I would wait.

No, my doctor said If you get a tattoo your opening your body up to infection while your pregnant and that infection could affect the baby

also some peoples skin naturally becomes more dry or oily with pregnancy so it could affect the way your tattoo looks after when it goes back to normal.. i would wait also but its up to you.

Many good, reputable tattoo parlours have a waver or contract that you must sign and one question always is "are you pregnant". A good artist will not tattoo a pregnant woman

I think the main concern is hep b/c and HIV. The risk isn't very big, but it's always advised to wait until you're no longer pregnant or nursing to get new tattoos. But the decision ultimately lies with you. I would not do it personally

Where I am at its the doctor who decides.... If he/she gives you a note that says you can than the shop allows it.... Nowdays good shops have inspections and follow strict hygiene controls.... And have autoclaves in the shop to sterilize everything.... Its just like getting blood work..... But its the doc that still says yes or no... And a good shop too! Not a basement apt lol
