If you breast pump will your milk go away?

From experience has your milk gone away? I heard and Pple have told me that once you breast pump your milk will only last a short period of time 😩

If you continue breastfeeding your baby it doesn't matter if you use a pump... The more you do both the more milk you'll have. My experience with my first was great (breastfeed until almost 3yrs) Good luck!

I ebf my first for 4mos and pumped for another 2 before I 'dried up'. I needed my second to last at least a year so I maybe pumped less than 10x the first few months, mostly because of engorgment, and kept breastfeeding until 14 mos when we weaned. So for me, pumping didn't last as long as I had hoped. But I know someone who exclusively pumped for a year and never had an issue.

Are you going to be pumping and nursing or just pumping? It's extremely hard (but not impossible) to exclusively pump for a lot of women, because the milk isn't being stimulated as often or as well as it would be with a baby nursing. If you do decide to EP, you'll need a really really good pump and to pump often. But like I said, it's not impossible, I knew a woman who EP for well over a year! Good luck!
