Me n hubby went to buy things the baby NEEDS today. He got mad cause i got bibs, he says she wont need them. i Literally just got a pack that came with 5 anyway. She isnt going to be just breastfead shes going to be drinking out of bottles as well. And i do not want to get all her clothes dirty every 2 hours after she eats especially since we wont have so many newborn clothes cus we wont know if she'll grow out of it quick or not. I told him she will need them and he just doesnt get it.

Yes babies need bibs. Newborns have spit up a lot of the time so you'll need it for that. In no time they will be teething and drooling everywhere (mine started at 3 months) so you will need bibs for the drool. And of course down the line when you start solids you'll need them then too. 100% a necessity.....

We just used receiving blankets when our daughter was a newborn. We didn't use bibs until a while later when she was eating jars of baby food.

I voted no as in you are not wrong. She will need the bibs even being breastfed. There is this thing called drool and bibs come in handy for that. You will need more than 5 once she starts teething. My son went through sooooo many bibs when he was cutting teeth. He kept getting a rash around his chest/neck from the moisture even though I changed the bib often.

Men are silly when it comes to babys I swear! My husband asked why we needed bibs when he's going to be breastfed. My answer was the same as yours! Don't wanna dirty the clothes, and when your burp your baby you can use bibs immediately! It may drop down their chin like drool! Plus he will be bottle fed as well with breast milk. My husband also picked up a 5 pack of newborn onesies and was all this is all he will need for a while. I looked at him and was like do you realize how many times you change their clothing also in a day? lol for a bit I was frustrated with him due to hormones because a lot of men would be so lost as to what to buy for their babies!! Like where to start for furniture, clothes, supplies and all that! But to us mommies it all just comes naturally! You don't need to by books to figure this shit out! You just know, you're mommy instincts are their the moment the strip turns pink! Brush it off, he'll get over it!

If you are planning to have a baby shower people tend to give bibs as a gift. I haven't purchased any and I have maybe 10 or 15. You will need them but if he is being funny about buying them you will likely get some as gifts anyway.
