I got my IUD inserted a few hours ago, and it was honestly no where near as bad as I anticipated. Don't get me wrong it hurt, but I wasn't expecting "cramping pain" during the procedure, just pain, so that helped I think. But it was terrible. The doctor told you'll feel 3 "cramps" and she'd warn me when they came on, and boy were they cramps. The first 2 were bad, but felt like my normal bad period cramps, the last one hurt BAD, I even let out a little scream, but when it was done it was done. I got light headed, and lost color in my face, but just laid down for a bit to insure I didn't pass out. Now I'm just really crampy. I'm so glad I chose to get this done though!
