How did you find out you were pregnant?

Question

"Took a test" is for those of you who were TTC & were testing regularly. I know taking a test is what gave you a definite answer but I'm curious to know what brought you to the test in the first place 😊

Anything I'm missing? I'm sure there is as we all have an interesting story, so tell me in the comments 😉

I got really dizzy upon standing up! I got pregnant when I was switching birth control types. We were supposed to be being careful... Anyways I had no idea that was a pregnancy symptom until I did some research. Got two positive tests and then started having this weird feeling it was twins. Totally called it- first ultrasound confirmed there were 2 in there! 👯

My 4 months old puppy let me know that I am. He kept sniffing my belly and became very protective of my belly.

I was starting to feel weird and sick all the time. The grocery store was smelly, i could smell the drain in the bathroom sink while i was brushing my teeth. I posted on fb that i was feeling sick and probably wouldnt make it to this big party that we were invited to, and why,  and my friends all told me i was probably pregnant. I took a test a week later becausr i wasn't getting any better and sure enough i was 6 weeks pregnant!

I told a co worker that I had been having crazy weird and vivid dreams. She said "I bet your pregnant" and I thought she was crazy. I couldn't sleep that whole night though, so I got up early and sure enough a big fat positive.

And a "lighter & shorter" than usual "period" aka breakthrough bleeding.

Boobs sorer...longer than usual.

I didn't know I was pregnant until about two months in with both of my kids.

After consistently tracking my temperature and using OPKs, I knew exactly how many days after ovulation my temperature should have dropped. The day of temperature drop is when I'd get my period and when neither one of those happened--only then--did I take a test. It was positive. I also had creamy discharge instead of the almost dryness that comes before period.

Honestly temperature-tracking and OPKs were amazing tools. I didn't get my hopes up with HPTs every month because I knew exactly whether to test or not.

Alright so... here's a story. We were avoiding conception for another few months, planning on trying some time after wedding in August. We wouldn't even have sex when I was meant to ovulate or getting close, I used my mucus and ovulation tests to make sure. We used other methods the rest of the time, just in case.
First two cycles went great. I pinpointed ovulation easily and got my cycle exactly on time.
Cycle #3 was a different story. I got my positive opk on a Sunday night and Monday went out for lunch with my mom when we were hit by another car. We spent the rest of the day in the hospital. I was fine, she had whiplash. It was a lot of stress.
Fast forward two weeks to when I expected my period. Nothing. Give it an extra day. Take a test, BFN.
Wait a few days. Another test, BFN.
Wait a week because I figure there's no way I could be pregnant. Another test because I had one and I'm a little antsy. Positive. Holy shit.
Call my best friend because I need the support to take another. This one is positive, too. Holy shit.
And I was 3 weeks and 6 days pregnant.

My boobs had been sore for a good month along with that a missed period but my period was irregular so that didn't make me think anything and then I got super tiredddddd and my husband kept saying "you're pregnant, you're pregnant you're pregnant" haha so he made me get a test and I was 7 weeks pregnant lol

The week leading up to my period I had a feeling.. I was really warm all the time, exhausted, boobs felt really heavy and bigger than normal and I had cramps that whole week. All common pms symptoms that I had before but I'd never had them all together

I was so sick I ended up in the emergency room. The doctor took a blood and urine sample. Then he revealed I was pregnant.
