What age do you stop bedtime swaddle?

At what age is recommended to go to sleep sack with arms out instead of a swaddle? My daughter is 8 weeks and she gets fussy in the middle of the night bc she wants her arms out so I Unswaddle her and she goes back to bed. I'm trying tonight for the first time the sleep sack with her arms out

When they start moving around more, can roll over onto their side and/or fight to get their arms free. When they can do that, it becomes a suffocation hazard. Most babies shouldn't be swaddled past 3 months, but every baby is different. My daughter was only 6 weeks when we had to stop swaddling her because she was constantly fighting to get her hands free, and it would push the blanket up over her mouth and nose.

As soon as they can roll they need to have their arms free. We just started to swaddle with arms out and thankfully my daughter sleeps just as well as she did with them in. She's 14 weeks and not rolling yet but we figured we better start getting her used to it before we have no choice. Luckily she's had no issues with the transition.

I stopped at Day 5....no joke. My daughter loves to have her hands out around her face. It's comforting to her to be able to touch her face, which is something she's familiar with in this big new world. She's three weeks old today and sleeps with her hands above her head and near her ears. No more swaddle for us. Do what makes your newborn comfy.

I only swaddle the first day at hospital ..never did after .where I am from is too hott ..he hates having it around him makes him sweat too much

My son was swaddled until he was about 9 months (6 months adjusted preemie) once he could roll we got a swaddle that just clipped on top so his arms were out but it was still tight around the belly for security. Even now at a year old he basically swaddles himself by wrapping a blanket around himself. He just rolls over and let's it go around his belly. He loves it.

Both my kids "told" me when they were ready. My oldest was 6 months old and loved to be swaddled, then one night started screaming and I took him out and that was it. My youngest is 5 months old and he also loves it until a week ago when he started squirming every time I would swaddle him. Took him out and that was it for him too.

I only swaddle when he's dead asleep. They need to be able to move their legs for development purposes. My baby is three weeks and rarely is swaddled. He would unsaddle himself around one week old
