Big baby boy born!

Bethany
I was 39 weeks and 2 days at my appointment and for the 3rd week in a row my blood pressure had been high. Every time they checked it at this appointment it got higher and higher. Along with swollen feet and headaches they were worried about hypertension and preeclampsia. They decided to induce and I was so happy and so ready for this little guy to make it. We made it to the hospital that night they started me on cylotec to soften my cervix. I was only a 1 and 50% effaced and still very high. After they inserted the pill I started getting back to back contractions and took it as a good sign. They got intense and I got an epidural after a few hours. It was not painful to get the epidural but contractions wouldn't stop and he was having a hard time placing it so my husband was holding me up and my hand and I was crying they were so bad. Then I immediately felt better and was grateful for it. After the pill wore off I was a 2 and they I served a ballon which I t me to a 3 and they started me on pitocin. I stayed at a 3 for the next 12 hours. It was awful and super discouraging. They'd up my pitocin and my contractions would become irregular. They didn't want to break my water because it'd be a on a timeline to deliver but after 20 hours in labor my water broke on its own and my labor finally progressed. I went to a 7 in the next 5 hours and then to a 10 4 hours after that. I was ready to push. He was real plow but I labored down for like 20 min and started practice pushing. The dr didn't think I was ready so she wanted me to labor down more. It was so painful. My epidural was wearing off and I was feeling so much pressure with each contractions I was crying and screaming to be able to push. My awesome nurse had me started and he was making progress but the dr kept saying I wasn't ready. I kept pushing and it was so hard and so painful but my husband and near were awesome. Finally dr saw his head coming out and staying so they called pediatrics. Then I pushed again and they yelled at me to stop that they had to get ready. I was so mad as it was so painful and I was so done with pushing. Finally I pushed a few more times and he was here. His head came and hen body slid right out. He was Huge. I couldn't believe it. No wonder it hurt so bad to push him out. It was immediate relief after he came. Now we can't imagine life without him.
