Well firstly, I'd believe the trained ultrasound technician over some random girl any day. Secondly, they will double check at your 20 anatomy scan, so no worries there!

They say 16 weeks min to find out by ultrasound get it double checked at your 20 week scan if you've any doubts

It's not too soon to tell ! I found out I was having a girl @16 weeks. & we were able to tell BC she was butt up against my belly ! Lol
