Went in last night bc had been having a hard time breathing since 2am yesterday and feeling numbness in right hand along with tightness in abdomen. Well after getting daughter from after school and picking up fiance from dentist from having his tooth pulled i decided its time to go to hospital so i could breath. Anywho, so at this point im feeling like i have been standing over a furnace. Well needless to say i get into triage, they hook me up and find i am having some strong contractions 5 to 7 min apart and my blood pressure is elevated again. So they hook me yo an iv and check baby on ultrasound, draw blood, and continued monitoring of baby, contractions and blood pressure. Baby is in perfect health! So a few hours later doc comes in everything was good except blood pressures are high and contractions have spaced out so she sends me home and says if i start getting them close again come back??? What? Y couldnt they just deliver me? (I have a history of preeclampsia, have gestational diabetes, and fibroid tumors)

Any thoughts y they would send me home still contracting even if they did space out but still very much there?
