Who has experience learning a new language?

What are some activities that helped you learn? Watching TV in the language, post it - ing objects with their translation, etc.

Duolingo is an awesome (free) app that lets you learn different languages. I used it to help me improve on my French. They also have a website too!😊

I majored in Italian language and literature. I started from 101 level all the way up to 420 level. What helped me was pretty much practicing the language, finding conversation groups was the most helpful. And I also had really good teachers.

Repetition. I learned Japanese and was nearly... Perfect at it. 2 years of doing nothing towards Japanese... I get stationed in Okinawa, but I do just fine here, Japanese isn't needed much, just a little here and there. Now to brush up, In some places they'll have an English and Japanese brochure and I compare.

I moved to Paris before really learning French...I'm still not fluent but I find just trying to speak what you know and people will correct you, watching French TV and listening to the radio is also good. Subtitles are oky until you get to a certain level lol then you realise that they cut out a lot of the words x
