Can anybody tell me there stories about there c sections please

I just had one on the 23rd.  It was honestly pretty quick and easy.  I got to hospital for 8am.  C section was scheduled for 9:30 but started a little late due to an emergency c-section before me, mine was scheduled.  They had me put a gown on, they listened to the baby's heart beat and had my husband put on scrubs.  When it was time to go in I had to say good bye to my husband for a few minutes while I got my spinal.  That was the worse part so much pressure and it took them about 10 mins to get it in the right spot.  As soon as it went in they quickly layed me down on the table and inserted the cathader, which I didn't feel go in!  I was worried it would hurt!  Then they put up the drape and my husband came in.  I felt a little nausea after the spinal but they gave me something to make it stop which it did! It took about 10 mins before baby was out.  You will feel everything they are doing so be prepared.  It didn't hurt at all.  It honestly was pretty cool in my opinion!!  Once baby was out they checked her real quick then I got to do skin to skin for a couple of minutes before they cleaned her up and weighed her.  I was then taken to recovery for about 1 hour where I breast feed her and recovered.  Then I went to my room.   Take the pain meds they give you, the gas pains are no joke!!  I'm 8 days post and honestly I feel great!!  I had a great experience and hope you do too!

I had a c-section 3 weeks ago. We scheduled it the week before and then on the day they had me down for August 9th, my husband and I drove to the hospital at 445 am and got checked in at 600am. I had to undress and out a gown on; I got in the bed where I was hooked up to a monitor that showed baby's heartbeat and contractions (I was having pretty regular ones at this point which was ironic but I had stopped dialting at my appointment the week before even though I was having contractions). The nurse came in and gave me an IV and put my catheder in (which was a little painful) she also shaved me where they would be cutting. From there my dr came in and the anesthesiologist and went over everything and then they wheeled me out to the OR. My husband had to wait until the spinal was in (it felt like a little pinch and then my left butt check went numb followed by my right foot and next thing I knew I couldn't feel anything below my breast). They started cutting and my husband came in and my bp dropped so they had to give me something to stabilize that. About 15 minutes later I had a dr pushing on my stomach below my chest to help ease the baby out and about two minutes after that, we heard crying and they showed us our son over the cover. My husband got to go help them clean him and they brought him over to me while my husband held him for a minute before they left to show everyone else the baby. Fast forward about 45 minutes and they were wheeling me into recovery. I had the shakes really bad from the spinal but I was only in the recovery room for about 35-45 minutes before I could moved my legs again. From there, I went into my room and they let me get settled and have a dose of pain medicine before they brought baby in. I was off pain medicine later that day, walking the day after and went home on the 12th. Haven't taken any pain medicine since the first day
