Can progesterone cream delay a period?

My period is a day late. This is the only positive test that I got a few days ago, so I'm afraid it's an Evap. I got a slightly lighter line on the same type of test a day before..the pink dyes were all negative though.. I was planning on just not testing again until my period was at least a few days late, but I've been putting on progesterone cream for the last week or so, because of all the chemical pregnancies recently. Now I'm reading on line that progesterone can delay a period😟 I think I'm going to have to test again today, because if it's bfn, I'll have to stop the cream, to jumpstart my period..
