Leaking water

I am 34 weeks and 4 days. I have been leaking a watery substance the last few days off and on. I called the doctor's office and they told me to go in to labor and delivery, but I have other children and I don't want to go spend hours at a hospital if not necessary. I had been having a normal discharge before but the last few days it has been just watery. It isn't an extreme amount and the baby is still moving. I have never had this before and was induced for my other pregnancies. I am wondering if anyone else is or has had this happen and of it is normal or if I should be concerned and get checked.
