Discoloration on cheeks

he had what I thought was bad baby acne but now that the red has faded and the bumps have dried and faded away his skin has gotten splotchy. Anyone have experience with this? His next Appt is on the 14th and it doesn't seem to bother him so I'm trying not to obsess. since I'm a FTM, I'm failing lol
