✨🍒Read BEFORE Entering🍒✨

This is a master post that will be added to as time goes on, feel free to comment on this as well(:
-DIY piercings and stick n pokes will not be encouraged in this group! there is truly nothing safe about it
🍒ONLINE RESOURCES🍒
- 'The Ear Stretching Network' group on Facebook, for all things Mods
- QCKND on youtube (tattoo aftercare, planning, culture, etc)
- The Modified World on youtube (piercing tips, videos of piercings being done, jewelry education)
🍒TATTOOS🍒
- The best after care advice will always come from your artist
- An original design is always the best design
- Tattoos hurt, but the pain is always worth it.
- Moisturize!! Anything unscented, aquaphor or bepanthen are great!
🍒PIERCINGS🍒
- When being pierced, your piercer should always be using a NEW NEEDLE fresh from the package.
-The best way to clean a piercing is with plain soap and water OR a premade saline solution. to explain, a piercing is a puncture in your skin. what would you clean a cut with? or what would a doctor recommend for stitches?
- Salt is not sterile and will dry out your skin, as well, rubbing alcohol, tea tree oil or peroxide are much too strong and are not recommended for piercings.
- Always check and insure on quality of your jewelry
- Never rotate or play with your piercings, especially with unwashed hands
- Never get pierced with a gun, it should always be a needle.
- DO NOT change your piercing before the recommended healing time. This is vital. Your piercing is not ready and will not react well! It's safest to wait longer than you think.
🍒STRECHING🍒
- Patience is key!
- Always wait a minimum of 3 months between sizes
- Do not skip sizes
- The safest, proven method of stretching is with the use of plain glass plugs (tapers and taping are very questionable, as the ingredients of tape are unsafe for skin and tapers may cause an uneven and forced stretch)
- Never force it!
- Massaging lobes daily will help with elasticity

I've had many successful piercings/healings with salt. It just needs to be at a mixture that mimicks your own tears. & many ointments/sprays for stitches work against your body. They have compounds in them that reject possible foreign objects (splinters, dirt, metal, etc) which could bother the piercing's healing process

As for the salt- if you make a saline solution with unionized sea salt with no additives (you can look it up online) it's the same PH as your body and will not corrode your piercings, and it doesn't have as many impurities as tap water, so it tends to irritate piercings less and it won't dry out your skin. My nipple piercings love it!

i have a question for you! if you are cleaning & you have dried blood in your nipples & it won’t come out would you just leave it there or would you really have to get in there to get it out? i’m kinda have some trouble with my nipple piercings & i just recently got them like 3 or 4 days ago!

True, but you know not everyone has the right stuff.

nothing should ever corrode a piercing if it's the right material!

Can we add a topic about the dangers of acrylic? In all forms: acrylic during stretching, in healing lobes, worn over time, etc. & I promise bondage tape is fine as long as you let them get air while in the shower & still oil them. Zero adhesive & it's made for bodies during moments where circulation is high and pores are open

Some people like me i can only wear acrylic its only one that my ear doesnt reject and ive never had problems as long as you keep them clean everyday you wont have much problems

No accually I've cleaned all of my piercings with tea tree oil and water and salt, every one of them never got infected and is healed fine.

also the chemical composition of cells does not mean they all react the same. Not everyone has a peanut allergy, and not everyone's bodies accept metals or piercing the same way. Just because one girls body rejected a belly ring does not mean now I can't get one too. You completely glossed over those points.

that's how I've healed my piercings as well. NEWS FLASH everyone is different. The one piercing I "healed" with piercing cleansing solution actually got infected and my body ended up rejecting it. I literally never said bodies aren't different, I said what works for one may not work for another. Which is a fact 🙄🙄🙄

I'm allergic to tea tree oil so I understand the OP warning against it. Not that it's bad for everyone, but I found out the hard way and it's better that other people make sure before using it

For my stretched ears I LOVEEEEE EMU OIL!!!! I take them out at the end of everyday and really massage the oil in & I went from pink and raw to peach(nude?) and healed! No more icky stuff on my plugs either 😇

I’m a Tattoo Artist and the best thing to take care of your ink its to let ir breath and apply A+D Vitamin On them to keep them from any infection and make them heal faster and keep the color intact, also wash them with soap and keep them always always clean. ( Dont Ever Put Vaseline on them They contain petroleum which damages the tattoo) Same goes for piercings girls Check My Tattoos @inkside.alejandra i give good prices to girls ❤️😊💉

Everyone's body heals differently and so I don't think "DO NOT" anything is sound advice...i've stretched ears with only WEEKS in between and i've NEVER had a blowout, an infection, an uneven stretch, etc (i was at 3/4, down to 1/2 now)..and i change my piercings when I want so..idk...just saying, everyone's body is different..

everyone's body is different but these are the guidelines most commonly followed and the most proven to be effective and safe. I'd rather wait too long and be safe than rush or make a mistake
