Well my father treats my mother like shit. And my brother has reached the point where he now calls him out on being a horrible husband and that his mother deserves better.

So I would so no, he will not treat his future spouse the way my father treats his mother, so I must disagree.

My mother taught us how to be good people. 
My father showed us the type of person you become when all you have is anger in your heart.

Children who are taught to understand right from wrong and respect and how PEOPLE should be treated will always treat their future spouse correctly.

Yes, I think this is good. My parents love each other an incredibly amount. But, they do shitty things to each other sometimes. I think that's just how relationships are, but it's always fixed and never unforgivable.

Yes I agree! If your children see you love one another no matter how tough it gets they will do the same. If your child grows up watching one parent disrespecting the other they will think it's okay and a normal way to treat their partner when they are older!

Yes. My parents definitely showed me what I *don't* want in a marriage and how to make them work.

For example, and idk if anyone else will find this funny, my grandmother has had 8 husbands starting from when she was 17. What she taught me was to pick someone who suits your needs. She discovered her constantly-touchy-feely gig during her first marriage wasn't for her, so she started marrying truckers because they're never home and she gets the house to herself 3 weeks/month. If you're wondering why so many that's just because she is a poor judge of character.

I think her message was supposed to be something along the lines of "Do what's right for you" or "You don't need no man", and not "Go threw them like your underwear". 😂
