Full Term and No Labor Signs
Anyone in the same boat? My due date is 9/7. I have not had any BH (that I'm aware of) this entire pregnancy. No mucus plug. No bloody show. A week ago my midwife told me that I am "just about fully effaced," that the baby's head is at my cervix, and that I have no dilation. She says I must be having BH because I've had cervical change (but again, I've never noticed any).
My impatience is compounded by how physically and emotionally difficult this pregnancy has been. This is my rainbow baby, and I was lucky to get pregnant after one cycle. In effect I've have pregnancy symptoms for a full 12 months at this point. I know going past one's due date is common, but I am going crazy here. I worry all the time that something will happen to my baby before his birth, and this discomfort is a lot to put up with day after day.
Any tips for coping? Anyone else not having signs of labor? I feel like nothing is happening in my body and I am feeling very stressed. I don't want to be induced.
My next appointment is on Thursday but I was such a bundle of nerves all weekend I am tempted to see if they can see me Tuesday instead.
