Moving US to UK ?

Has anyone on here made a big move like this on here if so was it tough? How did you get a house over there? What was yalls steps to moving over there?

My husband and I married in the US and moved to Germany (his home. We met when he was working in the US for a few years) I was 16 weeks pregnant when we moved. We had been to Germany on vacations and I met his family and friends. I took German in hs and thought I'd be fine. I was a wreck the first 6 weeks! I cried every single day and I hated it! He arranged our housing and vehicle all ahead of time so we had a partially furnished home to move into which I think might have helped some. I was just a wreck being away from everyone I knew, all MY people were gone 😢 My mom wasn't there when I was pregnant. And the language barrier was unbelievable. Nine years later, my German is still very bad but I love it here now. Germany is home. The Internet and smart phones are a god send!

Honestly, if it were me...I would research a few areas, find homes or flats for lease/sale in the area (online) and then vacation for about 2 weeks to view everything and get it sorted out.

I have not moved but live in the UK and housing is limeted. What were your housing plans?

Have you researched immigration requirements and started applications? That's your first step. Housing will come much later.
