Anyone else test positive as a carrier for cystic fibrosis?

Just found out I tested positive, and my husband is getting tested as well. Have to wait two weeks to find out if he's a carrier, and if he is, we have a 75% chance of having a healthy baby and a 25% chance of having a baby with cystic fibrosis. Just wondering how others are handling this kind of situation.

My situation isn't exactly the same but similar. I have a cousin with cystic fibrosis so I got tested before getting pregnant to be safe. I was told by my military doctor that I was not a carrier. Once I got pregnant - my ob did the genetic testing for abnormalities and gender. It was a wider range test and came back that I did have a gene mutation for cystic fibrosis. For a couple of weeks there we weren't really sure what that meant and my husband got tested as well. My ob did more digging and told me that while I do carry a mutation of the gene, it's not one of the commonly mutated versions considered a carrier that causes cystic fibrosis. He said my baby won't be affected - but down the line in her children or their children - the gene could mutate and become cystic fibrosis causing. Keep your hopes up and pray that your husband isn't a carrier! And even if he is, it's not a guarantee for your baby as you've said. And if it helps, my cousin lives a normal and generally healthy life at 35.
