I keep seeing posts about the age gap in a relationship. Some are 18 and 26, some are 15 and 18. Everyone's okay with the 18 and 26 but really mad about the 15 and 18. I understand the pedophillia in this but like double standards??

It's more a legality and maturity issue. While it may only be 3 years, it puts the older partner at risk for jail time, and a sex offender label. Also, the younger you are, the bigger the emotional maturity gap is.

18 your an adult. 15 your still pretty much a child. Jail time for statutory rape for someone under age dating an adult is very real and they will then live out their life as a sex offender so that's also looking out for the older one. Plus you have to think 18 is legally an adult. So why is an adult trying to be with a child?

It's not a double standard because it's ILLEGAL.
