Gestational sac 18mm yolk sac no fetal pole
Hi Ladies. I am 6 weeks exactly today and my whole experience so far has been a roller coaster. And it seems like it's because I keep being asked to do testing too early.
First it was my hcg level which at 4 weeks 4 days was 1929 then 48 hours later it was 2471 ( which may have been a lab error) because I went to ER 48 hours after that (it was over Labor Day weekend and I couldn't wait and extra 4 days to go to my doctor I was going crazy!) my levels were 9334 at 5 weeks 1 day. so if you only measured between the first test and the third test they were doubling at 42 hours but between first and second only 28%. So my doctor said that was great and she didn't really know what happened at the second test.
Anyways, just in case she sent me to an ultrasound and I went this Wednesday at 5 weeks 5 days knowing it is early and they might not see much. The lady who was the technician wasn't very friendly and wouldn't really let me see anything until the very end. She measured my gestational sac at 18 mm which corresposds with 6.2 weeks and showed me a yolk sac but said that there is no fetal pole that she sees. Told me to come back in a week. I am 100% sure of my ovulation which was August 12 at the earliest but could not have happened any earlier than that especially not by 4 days! So I really could not have been any more than 5 weeks 5 days -only less!
The next day I get a call and a written message from my doctor who sent me the results that the ultrasound place sent her and told me that my results are suspicious of a miscarriage because no fetal pole was seen but also could be early pregnancy. And also that I had a slightly irregular gestational sac margins.
I have spent the last two days reading everything that I could find and it seems like this happens a lot. Anyone could share their story? I have 4 more days to wait until Wednesday's ultrasound and I am going crazy!!!!
I also wanted to add that I haven't had any spotting or any bad cramps so far at all. Doctor thinks that is a good sign
