Community college

I attend a community college (started directly after high school) nearly all of my friends went to university ? and as a result I've lost a lot of my friends. My "old friends" have been posting stuff about how community college is for idiots and how we don't experience "real life". I had originally planned to go to university but my father pulled the plug last minute. I don't hate it as much as I thought I would, but haven't been able to make any friends so I feel pretty lonely. Do any of you go to a community college/ face this slack?
