So my mother has been abusive all my life, finally moved out, am happily living with SO expecting our first in April.

My mother has stage 4 lung cancer and she is abusing my father.

He is not an intelligent man. He was born with fetal alcohol syndrome. He has the mentality of a 15 year old but works hard and makes good money, thus why she stayed with him.

Lately she has been lashing out on him because he's been trying to get her to not take as much of her pain medication. (She's a pill addict, since long before I was born and has been all my life.)

She's been hitting him and leaving bruises on him and I'm scared he's going to get all the stuff that happened to me in my childhood.

He won't leave her, I just told him to and he said he cant, that she's dying.

So here's where I'm at.

I'm thinking of announcing my pregnancy early and telling her that if she doesn't knock it off she'll never see her grandchild.

Or I can call the police who would release her because of her cancer in less than four hours.

I'm just at a loss of what to do.
