Doctor Annoying Me About My Weight?

Question

Does anyone else get annoyed by their doctor harassing them about their weight? At my 24 week appointment I had gained 5 pounds that month instead of 4 and my doctor literally told me over and over to watch my weight and what I'm eating and that I need to slow down. It genuinely pissed me off, but I'm not sure if that's just my crazy pregnancy hormones.

Mine was bugging me about not gaining weight! I lost five pounds from just food aversion and exhaustion from 6 weeks-24 weeks. I started out at 208. Baby was growing perfectly healthy, so I don't know why they were that worried about it, it's not like I was a twig, lol.

I'm 33 weeks now, I've gained about 10 lbs over my pre pregnancy weight.

Mine gets on me about not gaining enough weight! She commented on how development looks great, baby is healthy, she mentioned my blood work came back perfect - I am a super healthy preggers lady with a super healthy baby inside me - and THEN has the nerve to mention that I haven't gained any weight yet and I really need to be eating a lot more. Uhhh... I'm sorry... you just told me that everything was perfect, and now you want to fatten me up? And what.. risk gestational diabetes or preeclampsia? Lol nah I will continue to do precisely what my body is telling me to do, and watch how heathy me & my baby will be next appointment.

Mine to I put on 4 pounds as compared to my pregnancy weight which was 130, which is overweight :(. I'm 5'2 120 would be ideal I know that I work out I eat healthy, but some days I take the kids to beach instead and some days we go out for sushi and instead of eating right. I'm comfortable with me my regular doctor knows I've struggled with that ten pounds and his answer is not to as long I remain healthy I'm fine but my ob Doctor likes to harp and harp each time I'm there. I do understand why it's not good to be overweight I don't want to add any extra risk to this pregnancy however I don't need the constant reminder and I don't think I'm even doing anything wrong. I'm trying out a new doctor next time.

Yes. I started at 119 and at 29 weeks I'm not 151. I get talked to at every appointment because I was gaining ten pounds a month. This last appointment (I'm every two weeks now) I gained one pound. My doctor's assistant said women handle pregnancies differently and weight can just go up like crazy and then level out. My mom said she thinks that is what is happening. I don't eat anything crazy and I do walk and get moving. In my opinion, if you're not eating like crazy, you're active, baby is fine...then don't worry too much!
