I feel so guilty that my milk supply isn't keeping up with his hunger. 😳 I wanted to strictly BF for a while but now he is BF and has formula. I feel like I failed in a way...

We started supplementing at 3 weeks because i wasnt producing enough and he wasnt sleeping good at night because he was so hungry. We only gave 1-2 formula bottles a day but now we are straight formula as of this week. My son is 7 weeks old now. I kept having clogged ducts and the pain was almoat to much to handle. I was hoping to make it at least 6 months but i just couldnt.

I've been supplementing with formular and rice cereal mixture twice a day since he was 6 wks old. My milk supply cannot keep up with him. When he has a growth spurt he is up all night literally screeching unless my boob is in his mouth. We went through this last night. He ate at 11 pm, 12:18 an, 3:01 am, 6:40 am, and at 9 am he wanted more after he sucked my supply dry so it took 8 0z of formula and rice cereal before he was full enough to stop crying. And he also FINALLY fell asleep!!
