Lying to Labor & Delivery

Have you called labor & delivery at the end your pregnancy & lied about "symptoms" just to see if they would keep you & induce you?

If so what did you tell them was going on? Did it work?

**UPDATE** I am 40 weeks, 4 days. My feet are purple from being so swollen, I've lost feeling in both my hands, blood pressure is "normal" range but high for me. I can barely walk. I see different dr/nurse each week
