Hi I'm a twin myself and wanted to know if it was probable for myself to have a twin, but my mother says it skips a generation. Is she correct?

Okay so the only twins that are genetic are fraternal twins on the mother's side. Identical twins play no part in genes and happen at random. So it depends... If you are a fraternal twin, then you do have high chances than someone else.

it doesn't necessarily skip a generation. I'm a twin. I'm not having twins but there are fraternal twins on my mom's side AND my dad's side so they both could have passed the egg happy ovary gene to me 😂

If you're fraternal, you're more likely to have fraternals. Skipping a generation isn't a thing, it's a myth. If you're identical, you have the same chance as everybody else.
