Alternatives to Clomid?
My doctor prescribed me Provera and Clomid. I took the Provera and was successful in inducing my period. I'm supposed to take Clomid on days 5-9 of my cycle - so on Sunday I should start on Clomid.
However, I went to fill my prescription yesterday, only to find out that Clomid is back ordered until February. My pharmacist called every pharmacy in my area to see if they have any left in their stock; no such luck. The pharmacy also faxed my doctor to see if he could change the prescription, but he hasn't gotten back to them.
I'm going to call him tomorrow, but my question is, does anyone know of other equivalent medications to Clomid that induces ovulation that I can ask him to change the prescription to? I've seen some people on Glow mention a drug called Femara; does anyone know much about it?
