he's distant ?

When I first met my boyfriend he use to text me all the time. Sometimes he would take awhile because of work and normal things but it was excusable. Now it takes him forever to text back, he lets me see his phone so I know he's not cheating it's just does this mean he's not into as much anymore? In person he is way more expressive but in text he is just very distant. What does this mean?
