thank you, lady in the grocery store ❤️

My mom came over this evening and per usual she hounded me about every aspect of my pregnancy and life ahead. Im not with the father and she's never met him. My family doesn't agree with premarital sex. She's pushed and pushed for an adoption even though I've told her multiple times that's not happening. She's tried to create sides in my family against me. She's said very hurtful things to and about me. She told me she won't throw a baby shower for me because she doesn't agree, but gets mad when my friend mentions doing it for me instead. It's been incredibly stressful with her and I'm just emotionally exhausted. So after another conversation with her and her telling me she won't be in the delivery if the father is at the hospital, I went to the grocery store. As I walked in and grabbed my cart and woman about my moms age looked at me with the kindest biggest smile and asked me when I was due. I told her Christmas eve and she just light up and told me over and over how excited she was for me, how fun a Christmas baby will be, she asked me if it was my first and what the gender was. She asked how I was doing and told me that she thought I looked great and then told me about 5 more times how excited she was for me and many congratulations before we parted ways. Thank you, stranger, for having such a joyous reaction because I TRULY needed that. I was feeling very isolated and like I was the only one who wanted this baby. You made this mamas night 10 times better 😭❤️
