Vaginal childbirth and exposure?

So originally, me and SO had talked about wanting it to only be us in the room when our baby is delivered because I'm a private person and didnt feel comfortable with the thought of having any family in the room. It became a really big deal for our mothers because it is their first grandchild and they are so excited. My mother is a very personal, comfortable person which is the complete opposite of me and has always been okay with being in the nude around her immediate family, while his mom isn't like that but is a nurse so feels plenty comfortable with it. It was made such a big deal from my mother and she made me feel extremely guilty, acted very sad and down everytime she saw me, etc. I ignored it at first until I find out that his mom had a wanting of being in the delivery room as well. After a few months of thinking about wii and talking with SO about it, we started considering allowing them to be in the room, but I'm just curious how exposed any other moms were during their deliveries. I wouldn't mind them in the room if there's a place for them to sit out of view of what's going on because I don't feel comfortable with them seeing what's going on "down there" and if my lower area is somewhat covered by a sheet so it's out of view. If I didn't have that option, it will definitely be a big no for me to have anybody but SO and medical personnel in there.
