I still haven't started! gettin worried

My cycle was supposed to start between the 14th and 16th and it never did. I did have light spotting the first in the third that was nothing like my period. I've had a slight headache all month I've been cramping constantly but no. And my boobs hurt really bad but I took pregnancy test but it keeps saying negative.... I don't understand?
