Dilation exam!?

Today I got checked for dilation, I'm 3cm along and I'm 37+5weeks. 5 hours after the exam I start bleeding and small blood clots. Is it because of the exam  (which hurt alot) that I'm bleeding if so when should I be concerned? Has anyone else had bleeding after their cervical exam?

Had an exam last Thursday as well and had bleeding with some clots. My midwives told me it is completely normal, just irritated your cervix a little when they were up their checking things out. The bleeding stopped for me about 12 hours later. I didn't have heavy bleeding, more like last couple days of your period bleeding.

Just had my dilation exam this morning. The doctor said that it was possible that I would notice bleeding, and if so, it was completely normal.

I was checked on thursday and few hours later had 2 episodes of bleeding. Called the doc and she definitely thought it was from the exam. Bleeding stopped shortly after i called her and i felt fine!

I would call your doctor in the morning. I don't think there should be clots. 😳
