BATH?!?!

38 weeks is it safe to take a bath been having contractions and back cramps just wanna sit in a warm bath. Is it safe?

Yes of course. Some women give birth in water so there's certainly nothing wrong with it

I'm 37 weeks pregnant im still bathing really helps with the aches and pains! I put half a cup of Epsom salts in My bath. It's full of magnesium and it gets absorbed through the skin really helps relax the muscles so you not so sore.

I spent 75% of my first labour in a bath! Certainly doesn't slow anything down.... good luck mama!

Someone did say... If you are dilated it might cause infection. I was loving baths up to now but maybe not from here on out...

It's safe and apparently can help ease the pain.

In our prenatal class she said having a bath in early labour can slow it down or something though...not sure what your aiming for 🙂

Yes, just don't use the hottest of the hot waters. :) Don't want to raise your body temp too much.
