The hospital I'm delivering at has bathtubs for labor. I asked one of my doctors about requesting a room with the tub. It's a group office so I have to see all the doctors. The doctor basically laughed at me and said nobody uses those. I said I suffer from back pain and water helps relieve it. He said "when it starts to hurt you get your epidural." Now at my next appointment I saw another doctor who wants me to see an anesthesiologist before I deliver bc I broke my back in the past and she wants a pain management routine already set up. I just feel like an epidural is already being pushed and I really don't want one.
