my birth story...❤️
On Monday the 19, I walked into my hospital at 5 a.m. To be induced and we ended up having to wait in the antemortem room (so the sign said) for about an hour because they were full and they had to Wait for someone to be moved. So I got into my labor and delivery room around 6:15 and didn't see my doctor until around 8. I told her I had planned on an all natural birth but was going to keep an open mind. I made it to 6 cm without any kind of medication, but the contractions were starting to get bad so I asked if I could have some pain medication, they gave me staton, and I fell asleep and would wake up for every contraction , which at this point I was having off the chart contractions every single minute lasting for about 45-50 seconds long each. At this point the medicine wasn't helping at all and I couldn't stand it anymore. I had to get the epidural. I was dilated to 7cm. The contractions while I was getting the epidural were bad enough that I was crying. The guy who did my epidural for me put it in the wrong place for me to get numb all over. An hour later I was still feeling the contractions, but it was all on my left side. So the lead anesthesiologist came in and pulled it out and placed it back differently and after 30 minutes I was starting to get pain relief. Around 5 my nurse came in and taught me to push, so I did, and shortly after, my doctor came in and I started actual pushing. At 5:22 p.m. my beautiful baby girl was born. Weighing 8 lbs 11 oz and 21 inches long.😍
