I'm super nervous. About my fluid

I'm 16 weeks the doctor said my amniotic fluid is extremely low and he checked for a leak and there was not one. So he is sending me to a specialist to see what's going on. Has anyone experienced this if so what was going on and what did you do to fix it. And why is it happening. I'm super stressed about it.
