They gave me spray and hazel pads I have 4 internal stitches and a tear that was not stitched up which burns  so much 😫 how long did it take to heal I'm scared it's going to stay like that since it has no stitches

The tears they didn't stitch will heal, I had two they did stitch and two they didn't with my first.  Use the heck out of the spray and tucks pads.....it really does help!

I have a 1st degree year and 2 stitches but they have hurt like crazy! My hospital gave me epifoam, a foam medicine to spray on your pads, but I've heard hospital strength dermoplast (blue cap. You should be able to find it at a CVS or Walgreens) does the same job at cooling and numbing the area and helping with itching. My sister in law gave me some Earth Mama Angel Baby New Mama Bottom Spray (gah, that's long) and that in combination with plain aloe gel helps with the burning. The bottom spray has cucumber and lavender in it, which is really soothing.

I almost had a 3rd degree tear. For me the pain started to be less powerful at 6 or 7 days postpartum but it will take at least 3 weeks to fully heal and the stitches to dissolve. I also use Luke warm water, hazel pads, padcicles, and the numbing spray. Now I just use warm water and pat dry. Sometimes it takes longer to heal than for others. Good luck, dear! 💕

I have a second degree tear and an internal one. I'm 15 days PP and today was my first pain-free day (still have some mild discomfort and itchiness but I'll take that over the pain). Motrin was my best friend, and I found the Tucks pads helpful (especially when refrigerated), and the sitz bath/warm showers were nice. It was a miserable time and I thought it would never end too.

We get nothing in the uk but they advise a jug of warm water to pour on your bits when you have a wee to help with the stinging. If you have a bedee pee in that with it full then just rinse after. It will dilute the urine. Also my cousin used to sit on a child's swimming ring to ease the pressure

Also make sure you really hydrated. I noticed when I didn't drink much water it would burn so much! But when I would chug water it didn't hurt because the pee was so diluted. I did the tucks and spray. Also sprayed with warm water everytime. I'm 2 weeks postpartum tomorrow and just today I feel somewhat normal.

With my first, I would lean really far forward, like almost touching my toes, to pee. It helped avoid the burning.

Days postpartum and still in pain. It's a bit better though.
