I dated my husband 4 years got engaged and bought our house a year later a few months before the wedding. Bash it for being 1950s or old school but it worked for us and we are happy with our choice and it worked out pretty good for us.

My dad and Step mom didn't really live together until after marriage from what I can remember she just kind of hung out at the house but never lived there

One of my besties didn't move in with her SO until after they got married. My bf and I are moving together after having been together a year but we're not engaged yet. To each their own ☺

I'm engaged to a marine and hes on deployment so we can't live together until we're married anyways so I don't think it's weird to be engaged before living together
