Do you believe the love is a choice or a feeling?

My husband being a radio personality asked this on air yesterday and I simply would love to get other opinions as well!

He said its a choice... You choose to love!

I say it's originates as a feeling and then turns into a choice!

I think it's both. You can choose to stop loving someone. I mean. It takes awhile after the initial decision to stop loving them has been made so it's not like 1 day you wake up not loving the person next to you.

In addition there's going to be lulls in a relationship, some describe it as falling out of love. Me for example. My husband and I were going through a rough spot, I chose to love him through that. I put my pettiness to the side and stepped up. I wasn't waiting for him at the door or anything. But I'd put together a lunch for him, make him what he wanted for dinner, held his hand when he would be asleep and I couldn't. I chose to love him rather than letting myself fall away.

You first feel the chemistry, and the lust, after you fill these needs, over time, you build a deep relationship and call it love, you chose to love that person (to care for them) and you choose it everyday, that's what my opinion is.
