How to help a friend through miscarriage

My best friend told announced she's pregnant not too long ago. She just called to ask if bleeding is normal. I guess it's been pinkish for a day or two and today it's gone red, not enough to stain though...very light. Mild cramping on and off too. To me, this sounds like spotting or implantation bleeding as she's only 3-5 weeks at the moment, but I'm not a doctor. She's going to get checked by a dr asap, but just incase the worst should happen, I'm not sure how to help.

Currently I'm 26 weeks pregnant and I'm not sure if my help will make things worse, but I want to be there to help just incase.

Thoughts? Ideas? Suggestions? Helpful comments?
