My poor husband, he had hell of a day at work. We went to his parents after and they are just not reassuring people, they don't look on the positive side, they don't encourage and support him. Instead of trying to make it better they raise their voices and shout, even when on his side??? I felt on edge and stressed out when we left. So he rang my mum and dad who are just completely different, my husband felt so much better and was laughing down the phone and just totally different. He has no confidence at all because of his parents. When he was little he wanted football boots, they shouted and said 'you aren't on a team and are crap at it anyway'. My parents would sign us straight up and support us and dad would take us down the field to practice. There was lots of incidents like that and it seems that his dad is always trying to compete with him.
